1.0 - Locate your “recovery phrase” or “seed words”

In order to migrate or move your account to another wallet provider you will need your “recovery phrase” or “seed words”. This guide explains how to locate them in Trust Wallet.

<aside> ‼️ Never share your “recovery phrase” or “seed words” with anyone. This is the single most important thing to understand in crypto.

1.1 - Settings → Wallets

• Open your Trust Wallet mobile and press on the Settings icon (bottom right).
  • This will open the settings menu. At the top you will be able to see your wallets that have been configured.
• Click Wallets.

1.2 - View wallet settings

• Here you will normally see a list of wallets.
  • For simplicity, we will have only one main wallet NSFW that we want to export.
• Choose the wallet you wish to export and click on the Info icon

1.3 - View Secret Phrase

• Continue by clicking Show Secret Phrase

• Read through the points and click on each to accept.

• Click Continue to view your recovery phrase.

1.4 - Copy your phrase

• You will be presented with your Secret Phrase that consists of 12 random words.
• Write them somewhere down somewhere safe. These are the 🔑’s to your 💰

2.0 - Import recovery phrase to MetaMask

You will have to install MetaMask on your device. MetaMask is supported as a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, Opera and can be downloaded for both iOS and Android as a mobile application.

2.1 - Download MetaMask

• Visit the official MetaMask page: https://metamask.io/download/

• For this example we will be installing MetaMask as a Chrome extension. Click Install MetaMask for Chrome.

• You will be redirected to the Chrome Extensions page.

• Click Add to Chrome

2.2 - Setup MetaMask

• In the Chrome navigation bar you will see MetaMask installed there as an extension. Click on the MetaMask logo.

• You will now start creating your MetaMask wallet.
